It's time for another Mission Possible post!
If it seems as though my "Mission Possible" posts have been few and far between the last few weeks--they have! Sales and coupons have been a bit skimpy for me lately--especially here in smalltown Louisiana. The only internet I have at home is dial-up, and that takes sooooo very long to load. I go to my parent's house to use their satellite internet, with speed similar speed to DSL, or to the library to use their high speed internet when I can, but sometimes I just flat out can't get my posts done in a timely manner. Seems like the deals are starting to pick up a bit and I've been trying to plan my internet time, so I should be back on track for the foreseeable future!
And with that, on to the fray!
$4.82 net OOP
I set out this afternoon to do a Wagreens Mission--armed with the weekly ad circular, my coupon binder, and $5 in RR(Register Rewards) from last week. This is what I got:
2 Arm & Hammer laundry detergent, $6.99, B1G1, less $1 MQ(manufacturer's coupon), $5.99, or $3 each
1 Arm & Hammer Total Care 2-in-1 sheets, $3.99, less $1 MQ, this is eligble for a manufacturer's rebate, so once I send in the cash register tape and required information, I should receive a check for $3.99, making this net of free plus $1 overage
2 Colgate Total toothpaste, 2/$5, less 2 $1 MQ, or $3, this generates a RR of $1, making these net of $1 each
2 Softsoap body wash, 2/$8, less 1 $1 MQ, or $7, this generates a RR of $4, making these net of $1.50 each (this would have been better if I'd had 2 coupons, but I only had one of these)
True North nut clusters, $3, these generate a RR of $3, making these net of free
1 Dove candy bar, clearanced to $.72
2 Ghiradelli chocolate, clearanced to $.57 each, less $1/2 coupon from the Walgreens September saver book, making these $.07 each! Whoo hoo!
My total after coupons and my RR from last week was $20.81 with tax, savings of $25.81, which included the Walgreens sales discounts, RR, and coupons. However, I also received $12 in Register Rewards good on my next purchase, and will receive a rebate check of $3.99--so with my "Mission Possible" math, my net out-of-pocket after RR and rebate will (eventually) be about $4.82!
Note: Another good deal at Walgreens this week is Dial soap, 8 bars, $5.99, B1G1--this means you get 16 bars of soap for $5.99, or $.37 each! My mom bought this and is splitting it with my sister and me--we'll each get 5 bars of soap for $2--mom gets the extra bar!
This is the best trip I've had in a while. I'm hoping that the coupon/sales cycles will pick up in the next few weeks/months, like they did last year.
What good Mission Possible "steals and deals" did you get this week? I'd love to see your deals, please link to your deals posts, or leave a comment.
Until next time...

How do you get the form for the rebate on the dryer sheets?
The rebate was a "peelie" on the top of the laundry detergent.
