Mission Possible Walgreens--Ice Cream and Toothbrushes

$5.58 OOP
Today was my first visit to Walgreens for the week. This is what I bought:

4 Starbucks ice cream, $4.79, on sale B1G1, less 4 $2 MQs (manufacturer's coupons), or $.40 each

5 Reach toothbrushes, regularly $3.49 each, three of these (the soft ones) were on sale 3/$9, get $3 RR with purchase. The medium one were marked $3.49, not on sale. I had 1 $1.50/2 Reach MQ and 1 $.50/1 Reach MQ, plus 2 B1G1 coupons. These rang up all weird--the first two rang up $3.49, the third for $2.02 making them 3/$9 as advertised), but the other two, which aren't included in the 3/$9 sale, rang up only $2.39. The clerk wasn't sure which amount to key in for the B1G1 coupons, so after consulting a manager rang these up as $2.39. At any rate, I got two of them for free, the other three were $9, less $2 in coupons, and generated a $3 RR (register reward, good on my next purchase). I guess it averages out to 5 toothbrushes at $.80 each.

My total merchandise at pre-sale prices would have been $36.61, less $14.59 in sales discounts, $14.78 in coupon savings, I paid $8.58 in cash, and received $3 in RR, for a net OOP of $5.58, or 85% savings.
Be sure to check the Mission Possible general post for all of the frugal "steals and deals" for this week.

Until next time...
