Time for a new Mission Possible!

One thing that's a real bargain for me, especially right now, is my Books-A-Million "Millionaire's Club" discount card. These cards cost $20 for a year, which may sound like a lot to some people. For me, though, it's a real bargain. My whole family are big readers and buyers-of-books. We don't purchase as many as we used to, but it's nice to know that when we do, we get that discount. You get an 10% discount on regularly priced merchandise, with additional savings on specially marked, discounted, or clearance items. Another benefit that I like about the Millionaire's Club is that it gives you free access to their Wi-Fi hotspot-a blessing to me when I'm in Small Town. We don't have a Books-A-Million there, but the next larger cities to the north and the south both have them; I'm sure to take along my lap-top when I know we're going that direction. (Where do you think I'm blogging from today?)

No shopping for me yet this week, but I've bought my newspapers and will clip and plan tonight. I admit, I was a little disappointed in the coupons and the weekly ad circulars this week. There are a few good ones, but it seems to be getting more and more difficult to get the really good deals. Next week I'll be back in what I term my "city" environ, and I know things will be a little easier there, but it should still be possible to find a few bargains no matter where I am. So you know what comes next...

Our mission, should we choose to accept it (and you know we will!), is to take the resources we have available to us (coupons, sales, ECBs, Register Rewards, and Rebates) and buy as much as we can of the things our families need and can use, while maintaining the smallest OOP (out of pocket) possible.
