Bloggy Awards and My "Dirty Delightful Dozen"

• Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates

Sometimes when you have a blog, you wonder if anyone out there, other than your mother and one or two anonymous readers, ever pay attention to what you write. Then a few weeks ago I got emails/comments from two other bloggers that they were giving me blogger awards!

My task is to nominate blogs that I like for these awards. There are so many wonderful, funny, informative, inspirational, (fill in descriptive word here) blogs out there that it's hard to narrow it down. I regularly read blogs about frugal living, cooking, decorating, family life, spiritual inspiration and just plain old everyday life, and like them all . So, here is my "Dirty Delightful Dozen" list, in no particular order:

• The Gypsy's Corner--I'm not even sure how I found this blog, I think a link to a link to link, but I love the crisp, clean look of her layout and the pretty projects she blogs about
• Between Naps on the Porch--a blog about do-it-yourself home decor, tablescapes, and beautiful "found" items
• The Simple Dollar--one of the best no-nonsense financial blogs I've found. Trent writes about everything from investing to making your own cleaning and laundry supplies
• The Nesting Place--all about we the things we birdies do to "feather our nests" and make our homes beautiful
• Indulge Your Shelf--a personal blog about antiques, collectibles, and handmade decor
• I'm An Organizing Junkie--love her simple ideas and inspiration to live a more organized life
• Forever...Wherever!--a personal blog that I found when she was hosting the Tasty Tuesday recipe swap that I participate in with my food blog, Secrets of a Southern Kitchen. She has since passed the torch to the next blog on my list, but I remain a reader of her family and personal saga
• Balancing Beauty and Bedlam--another personal blog that I found when she began hosting the Tasty Tuesday recipe swap. She blogs about fashion, cooking, decorating, and her family--always a good read
• Which Proverbs14:1 Woman?--a personal blog I found through the 5 Minutes for Mom Bloggy Carnival, and where I participate in Philippians 3:14 Fridays
• Craving the Savings--a freebies and deals blog that I like to read--she partnered with me in the 31-Day Build A Better Blog Challenge, which I think we both pooped out on!
• Keeping the Kingdom First--a frugal living/deals blogs, home of the $5 CVS Challenge--my inspiration to step outside my comfort zone and tackle the ins-and-outs of CVS shopping
• Homemaker Barbi--this is magazine style blog, not a personal blog, with many different writers and contributors. It's fairly new on my reading list, but they cover so many different topics, one of them is bound to appeal to everyone

I could go on and on--there are so many great blogs out there, but I'm leaving you with an even dozen. And don't forget the two lovely blogs who gave me these awards, Hoosier Homemade and Saving Cents With Sense! Most of them are also found on my blog roll, either here at Secrets of Southern Kitchen.

Take the opportunity to visit some of these blogs and see what they have to offer. Let them know you're reading, and let their works "praise them in the gates".
