New Mission Possible for this week--Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to take the resources you have (coupons, sales, ECBs, Register Rewards, and Rebates) and buy as much as you can of the things your family needs and can use, while maintaining the smallest OOP (out of pocket) possible.

Walgreens--$56.91 for $2.56 OOP

My first stop on today's Mission Possible was at Walgreens, where I did two transactions, all freebies for only the tax!

Transaction 1:

2 Garnier Fructis Shampoo, on sale $2.99 each, less $2 ESR Q(Easy Saver Coupon), less $1 manufacturers Q, free with $.02 overage

2 Garnier Fructis Conditioner, on sale $2.99 each, less $2 ESR Q, less $1 manufacturers Q, free with $.02 overage

2 Garnier Fructis Hairspray, on sale $2.99 each, less $2 ESR Q, or $.99 each

2 boxes of Sambucol tablets,$12.99 each, less $10 ESR Q, less 2 $4 printable manufacturers coupons , for overage of $2.02 (overage from this took up the slack for the extra Garnier that I didn't have coupons for)

Total: $49.92 in merchandise, less $6 sales discount, less $50 in coupons; total after coupons and before tax was -$.08, tax was $2.64, my total OOP (out-of-pocket) was $2.56

Transaction 2:

Axe hair styler, $6.99, this is a free-after-rebate item, I'll be reimbursed $6.99 + 10%, or $7.68

Total after tax of $7.41, paid for with Walgreens giftcard loaded with last month's rebates

Final Walgreens total, $56.91 for $2.29 after rebate

CVS--$24.32 for $.98 OOP

Next stop on the great Mission Possible task was CVS. This was a free trip, as well, because of ECBs I had from previous trips.

2 Glucerna cereals, $4.59 each, less 2 $5 printables (no longer available)

2 Mennen Speedstick $3.19, on sale B1G1 free

1 box Hefty flex garbage bags, $5.99

1 Sprite zero, $.99

2 Milky Way candy bars, $.89, on sale 2/$1 (one of these has mysteriously disappeared, along with the Sprite!)

Total merchandise of $24.32, less $3.97 sale discounts, less $9.59 in coupons (one of the Glucerna ones went through, the other one beeped because the total of Glucerna products was less than the coupons and was adjusted down) less a $10 ECB from a previous shopping trip, total after discounts of $.76, total after tax of $.98

Final CVS total, $24.32 for $.98 OOP

Grand Total $81.23 for $3.54, this is a 96% savings!!

NEW FOR MISSION POSSIBLE

I love reading other blog posts about their good deals, so I've decided to try something new here at A Virtuous Woman. If you blog about the deals and bargains you find, please leave a permalink directly to your post so everybody can find it!

How did you do for your Mission Possible this week?
